Where's Marcus Featherby now?
Here's an old Marcus Featherby interview sent through by Our Generation fan and Sheffield scenester Jamie Headcharge. Marcus Featherby was the enigmatic gig promotor in Sheffield (he masterminded the free Poytechnic gigs for the unemployed in 1981 as well as setting up gigs at Sheffield Marples for almost every grass-roots Punk band of the era)...but also set up Pax records which released records from Mau Maus, the legendary Wargasm LP (Damned, Angelic Upstarts etc compilation) and was behind the seminal 1979 local Punk compilation 'Bouquet of Steel' amongst other illustrious projects. He is the subject of a complete chapter in the book 'Our Generation' (which also features many fans accounts of the Marples gigs of 1981 onwards). According to Jamie - Marcus has been spotted in and around London and gave Jamie himself a complimentary wave and thumbs up for continuing the underground music scene via his contemporary Rave scene ventues!
With thanks to Jamie Headcharge
